One vote for a Street Triple R. Or an FZ with upgraded suspension. I will admit sometimes I wish my Street had just a tad more low end torque...

Then I get it to about 10,000 RPM and nearly soil myself no matter what gear I'm in.
There's always the speed triple if you want to run with the big boys

Well what would you prefer, a bike that be smooth in city traffic and a devil on track days, or a bike that jumps off the line like a frog with a firecracker in its arse?
I feel like most of the naked 600-1000s are both. I def dont want a bike that gives anything up on the street for the track.... I would say 95% of my riding is commuting/street riding.

I need to change my fork oil and steering bearings...but I really don't want to attempt it on the street.

Now I've either gotta find a space to work or a shop that is willing to work on an old bike.. Maybe I should look for one of those storage units with a garage-door style entrance...there's got to be one of those in a relatively accessible part of chicago somewhere.

What you can do is just rent a private garage. I have a couple friends that do that here in Louisville.

I should also be able to get some info about shops for you. I'll let you know what I come back with after asking around.

Edit: Adam Doyle at Jinxed Moto is the man to talk to.

^^Yep. The only surviving bike from the movie Easy Rider. The auction house thinks it will sell for $1.5 Mill. Paul got to photograph it and hang out with the current owner.

Hey dudes - just got back from my PCH trip.

If you ever get the chance, make sure you do it.

Big Sur is spectacular.
