My Buell is my starter bike. Having torque available everywhere with linear delivery is very starter friendly. Great brakes. Good handling. You can get them for $3k or less all day long. Honestly, I see now reason why you'd ever get a 250 over one, other than if you're afraid of mechanical work.


What kind do you have? I have an XB9SX, but I learned on a Blast.

It's a bonneville actually. I don't have a recent side shot of it but here's one from the previous owner:

Nice! I'd love to pick up another buell - another tuber, an xb9 or an 1125.

Mine below:


I really like the look of the 1125, and I've seen them going fairly cheap ~$5-6k for something with about 1000 miles on it.

I have slowly been modding my xb9. My next step is to do the breather reroute, and then after that, I want to put a more aggressive seat on it and do LED tail light/blinkers.
