men unlined over coat

I am considering a double faced, unlined unstructured overcoat. it will be slightly oversized, can go over a suit/shirt with oxford/brogue for the weekdays, and downsize with sweater/hoodie and pair of chino or jeans with trainers. the color could be black, navy, grey camel....you can feel its softness with maintain its shape.

However, I am not sure whether this type of overcoat is really practical or necessary to invest as a basic. saw a lot from maxmara. any men's brand do such kind of collection? so far, I saw BV, fendi do..

An unlined overcoat would be a bit difficult to pull on / off over a suit, unless the suit was a polyester one...

OP, I like your idea, but I don't know who makes them. I have an unlined duffle coat from Chrysalis that I like a lot.

You might consider a reversible Balmacaan topcoat/raincoat like
this from O'Connells:
