It helps with the way the material folds when sat down. If I have a zip fly it looks like I REALLY like my trousers, if you know what I mean. Button fly; everything seems to stay flatter.

As I look down at my Luxire trousers I'm currently wearing here at the office, I 100% see your point LoL

Are there practical benefits with 2 rows of buttons for the fly closure rather than a zipper, or is it strictly aesthetics? I feel like I would pee my pants by the time I finished unbuttoning all those buttons

It's not quite '2 rows'. Inner 'row' is indeed a full length of buttons to cover the fly. I'll readily admit this is personal preference but once you're used to it, it takes no longer than a fly and with less risk of 'entanglement'.

Outer 'row' is actually just two buttons, and there's then a flap of lining that comes across to attach. Means even if you undo everything else the trousers remain in place and secure.

you who have sent garments to Luxire, have you had any problems

Nope! Sent in a pair of trousers over the summer and they copied them almost perfectly, plus added more rise, pleats and side adjusters. Very happy with the results.

This is actually a very insightful bit of info, and, based upon my major tent pitching skills with zip flies, something to certainly consider!

I've sent 4 items over the years and have not had any issues (dress shirt, shorts, dress pants, casual pants).

Thanks!
I have managed to get quite good result by measuring pants at home, but I'm guessing that it's probably better to send in a pair instead of changing the existing patterns.

Many thanks. I'll look into them.

@luxire , any other suggestions? Thanks.

Cheers,

Ac

I really like our cotton-linen canvas fabrics. Have not worn them yet, but, the feedback has been good so far.

I'd like a shirt in a trouser fabric. What is the cost compared to the trouser price? How to place the order?

We will do it at the same price as the pants. You can order the fabric and add your requirements in the notes.
