Eason, Sounds like you've tried more restaurants in China than me, lol. I left Beijing at a young age and only been back twice, didn't stay very long on both occasions.

There is only one HuNan restaurant in Sydney AFAIK, so don't really know too much about it. My favourite at the moment is Sichuan cuisine, but they don't know how to cook seafood. GuangDong cooking is too plain for my liking, then again the Cantonese think our taste buds (the northern Chinese) have completely been destroyed by all the salty food we eat.

Sometimes I do think the northern Chinese had their taste buds fried, but not by salt but hua jiao. I didn't know numb was a flavour!

American food has a lot of outside influence but I would definately agree that southern food is a pretty unique mixture. Also, casseroles tend to feel pretty american, especially if they somehow involve wild rice.

So what if there is outside influence? A lot of cuisines are influenced by other cultures. Curries, noodles, etc, etc, etc have travelled around the world.

In my experience, this is just a facade. I would say the vast majority of Korean girls go to church to socialize, not because they're actually religious. These are the types of girls who say things like "oh, this is wrong, I shouldn't be doing this..." while undressing in your bedroom. Doesn't take a whole lot of effort to corrupt them.

Never experienced this with the Christian Korean girls I know (UK).

Edit: What I will add is that IME, Korean girls are very passive, quiet and submissive; and very much attracted to charisma and confidence (somewhat stating the obvious), with a HUGE aversion to body hair of any kind.

That's funny, my experience is 100% opposite. Including the body hair.
