In re: the OP's question, it's you. I would say each episode has 1-2 good sketches, 1-2 okay sketches, and the rest are pretty bad.
While they've gone to the well a few too many times recently, those ESPN Classic bits with Greg Stink are funny. The wifey and I are also partial to BET's "What Up with That".
Weekend Update is not very good and hasn't been great since Norm.
