The current FDA alert is referring to the current issue with hepatic injury associated with Hydroxycut and not adverse effects ever reported with the product. I suspect that the current issues have something to do with contamination rather than labeled ingredients; I suppose time will tell. Hydroxycut used to be formulated with ephedra and there were MANY adverse events associated with it's use. These included cardiovascular events in young women not typically considered at risk and even when used as directed (without dose escalation).Originally Posted by rxcats
