I've got a Matisse tattoo.
That is not a tattoo.
Well on the other hand christians can't eat owls....
That was the deal-breaker for me.
One thing I hate about existentialism is that it says men are basically born with freewill but that there are external forces (god, social boundaries, institutions) that circumscribe one's choices. So what happens if you're truly free-minded? You'll just do as you wish: kill, maraud, pillage, etc and these actions neither represent freedom nor transcendence. Dostoevsky: men free themselves from the shackles of morality only to be chained to basic necessities (lust, greed, etc.) Overall, it's a disappointingly lugubrious philosophy.
I prefer, "Wherever you go, there you are."
At one point. Now all I believe in is funk.
Now you're talkin'!
