Didn't take that night train to Memphis. Took this day train (Metrolink Train 662) to Orange CA.

Brooks Brothers Brookstweed jacket and Argyle socks, L L Bean OCBD shirt and corduroy trousers, Roosterknit tie, Tommy Hilfiger Fair Isle sweater vest, generic pocket square, and Allen-Edmonds suede shoes.

Went to Orange to see this exhibit at the Hilbert Museum. The Hilbert Museum is in a temporary location until the work of making their old location (across from the Orange CA depot) four times larger.

Although the exhibit is called "All Aboard, The Romance Of California Railroads", one of the very first things you see when you enter is this, a picture of a Great Western Railway express passenger (you can tell from the head code) train. England is nowhere near California.

For those who like police chase videos, the fountain in Orange CA looked much better before someone fleeing from the police ran into the fountain.

Now people can't get anywhere near the fountain.

The answer is out there. They could replace the WPA fountain with the original 1888 fountain which is two blocks away behind the Orange Public Library and History Center.

Lots of options I'd say (without seeing a pic of the jacket, which would help with the advice):

- Gray flannel in a lighter shade than the jacket

- Lighter brown/tan/cream

- Blue/denim

- If the jacket is dark enough, olive green

Bit loafers work almost everywhere.
The main point is that the jacket is
basically perfect, except that I would
widen the lapel a bit.

Its still not warm in Germany, so i decided to start the neew week in flanell.
The sock are "expermental" to make the look a bit less conservative.

Great suit and pattern mixing! I know I shouldn’t be commenting on anyone’s footwear, but I would loved to see some oxfords instead of derbies here. Where’s the suit from?

One member suggested wearing it as separates. But I think I will keep wearing it as a suit. I also hunted for the appropriate restaurant for a future official HOF dinner party. I may have found it.
