I was just thinking of getting a pair of black split-toe bluchers, and was wondering how they pair with a semi-conservative business dress suit. You have answered that question. I might head over to Allen Edmonds at lunch and do some trying-on.

Why are you scared of them?
These are actually burgundy wigtip brogue boots. In terms of actually wearing blutchers. I wouldn’t know as I actually don’t own a pair. I wish I could give you advice. I just usually use these boots since I feel they are quite universal due to the burgundy colour(compared to a light tan). Generally as long as they are well polished, a dark colour (black/burgundy) you should be fine pairing it with a more formal suit. Then again— I’m just guy on the internet. Anyone else who wants to give advice or correct me if I’m wrong. Feel free to chime in hey.
