finally nice weather

Putting my homophobic tendencies aside for a moment, I think I actually like this. Is the collar a button-down?

I think we can all agree that you shouldn't need to be a "better" dresser than someone to make a comment on their fit, given of course that it's not delivered in an offensive fashion, which I don't think ss's was.

^ yes. Absolutely. What's true is true, and what's false is false, regardless of who says it.

And, as JapanAlex states with such sagacity, "opinions, spinions."

You are allowed to state your opinion at you want.

Ex:

Everything was good (not a fan of the shirt but thats just personal taste) until it got to the pants. In my opinion the pant rise is much too low for the rest of the look, you have your pants sitting on your hips and JCrew did you no favors by cutting them for teenage hipsters.

-Spoo's upper body does not look huge, and the pants are perfectly acceptable as he prefers a lower rise look. He does not wear his pants at his belly button like a 90 year old.
-The Bowery classic fit pant is not designed for teenage hipsters. It's a classic fit. You wear pants that are far to full; the example provided by Spoo is how a trouser should fit.

It makes his torso look huge and his legs look stubby.
-You are certianly entitled to your opinion. I, for one, think that opinion is based on you attempting to sound like you actually know what you are saying. The person in the photo in question does not look "stubby" at all.

What you are doing here amounts to the bench warmer who can't yet play telling one of the best players (a proven player) how to win.

o_O certainly wouldn't want to give my opinion on anything even if I cannot pull off a look as stylish as Sir Spoo because this was truly way too ad hominem. He is not in Spoo's leaque, quite frankly very few are but your response to him trying to give his opinion makes you sound like a douchebag. Give the guy a break geeesh

You're right I have no idea what the **** I'm talking about, I'll take my seat on the sidelines from now on. :foo:

Working on a Saturday to keep up with people grabbing last minute fathers day gifts. I went in without a tie and pick up this summer tartan from Altea, which would obviously go better with a light blue or white shirt but whatever. I was also able to finally get some decent pictures, even my dog wanted in on the action.

I know you guys bust SS balls for the way his pants fall. Sure they look odd.. but they are kinda intriguing/interesting to me... especially in this pic.

Not the best picture, trying this out on my way to the tailor after work. Sorry about that. Shirt is blue bengal stripe. Have a good weekend folks.

Is this the same jacket from your previous post? I hope you haven't told your tailor to touch the waist, because the coat is looking great on you in this picture.

His pants actually fit and drape well. He wears them higher on the waist than most, and I think it works. The length is not to my taste, but it can work. What keeps it from working is that the leg opening needs to be considerably narrower. If he's keeping the length, then he needs to taper the leg. If he's not tapering the leg, then he needs to lengthen the pants.

That's the thing. And usually I would agree; but for some reason it works on him

Southern that's a good look but with pants like that with no belt loops and since you wear them a bit high, I think it would be cool if you wore your tie inside your pants. The way you dress, you can get away with certain affectations like that and the high water pants (just trim the leg a bit).

No, he is letting the sleevs up a bit and shaping the chest slightly as the fabric creases awkwardly in the chest. Nothing major like .25 inches or something. The waist I am keeping as is unless it looks odd. I don't want to make it any tighter in the waist due to the quarters and the fact I want it to breathe a bit as it is linen and fairly lightweight.

Thanks for the comment :)
