I like this jacket a lot, as I mentioned in the thumbs up box. I want to ask the more knowledgeable members what they think about the way the jacket "hinges" on the button, causing the fronts of lower half the jacket to pivot out from each other a bit, creating flare. Could just be a breeze in the photo, but if not, is this considered an issue or not. I ask because one of my DB jackets does this (to a slightly lesser extent) and though I quite like the effect, I do wonder if it's technically correct or not.

HF - the way I understand (at least from the Italian tailors that I know) the ideal "hinge" as you speak is so that the bottom button on a DB is half covered by fabric when closed.

Nice Vic! Who makes your shoes?

Thanks EB. The shoes are mack james, a portuguese brand.

I love (want) this coat! The shirt is one of a kind--very original. (Deets?) Combined with this radiant red sweater, the resulting effect is splendid.
Thanks CP, The shirt is Façonnable. One of my fav because the fabric is very, very good

Cheers

Wearing the hell out of my tweed stuff as long as the weather allows it (it's been the coldest week in Sweden this winter).

Same bow tie as last time, in a new combo

Fabrics et c.

Beat shoes that somehow seemed appropriate for the mix of ruff fabrics/patterns

I like this an awful lot. Probably more than I should, or it could just be jealousy over not having any actual winter weather so far this year.

Another once in a blue moon fit pic for me:

Tom Ford Sport Coat.... no, not really :p... Polo Ralph Lauren Hacking Garrison Jacket (part of a 3 piece) (I still need to have the button moved to slightly account for my dropped right shoulder)
Polo Ralph Lauren Navy pants
Allen Edmonds Tresana from the extinct Seven Collection

UC, funny you should mention the braces. As I was putting this on, I thought about it, taking them to frank to have suspender buttons added. Now, to find a nice pair of suspenders!

Looking good CEP - nice collection of ties you have there, and knotted well.

Looks good.

Is the tie Drakes? The gray cashmere with dark red stripes perhaps?
