I myself don't know what I was looking at. My wife was able to catch the most awesome decisive moment.

those are always the best pics.

I can't imagine forgoing all of the utility of my jacket pockets for something as ephemeral as the line of the jacket. Where you put your stuff, man?

the older i get, the more i use pockets...shirt pockets, jacket pockets, etc.

pretty much this. i used to never use the pockets on the outside of the jacket, but now they have become essential. also, a cell phone in a breast pocket can actually cause for a worse fit/pic than it would in a side pocket.

Yeah. I never put hands in any of my pockets and I leave lower jacket pockets stitched up. Hands in jacket pockets just spoils the jacket line to me.
I think you should have your jackets made without pockets. Would help the line quite a bit.

The pockets are among the best things about wearing a jacket. Even on my casual jackets, I have a four-pocket minimum: Phone, keys, wallet, glasses

Exactly. I'm having some more linen sport coats made that are lined with cotton instead of silk or poly in the sleeves, so I can wear them in the summer since it won't wear as warm. I don't like holding my keys in my pocket. It's annoying as ****.

Iv'e always used my pockets.
and I hate treating my suits like delicate swans.

its amazing how much better a suit looks once youve gotten over the "delicacy" and it looks lived in.

you mean i texted you the pic. lets be honest here. also, besides that i was fat cow in that pic, the fit was good. even with black tie and brown shoes.

i would amend my previous statement to the following:

SBs fit, no bueno with brown shoes. other fits, bueno. depends on the items as a whole. ymmv.

Maybe that is why I hardly endorse the robopose. I usually try to pose the way I do in real life.

i think that besides for a select few, it never really optimizes how the fit actually looks.

I have a cream colored linen/cotton unlined jacket from LBM1911 for summer travel. Goes with just about anything casual.
