Thanks, Stitchy.

mrjester, it is a silk knit, but the scale is finer than typical, so the sheen isn't as apparent.

I'm not sure how a grayscale fit calls for brown shoes. A knit tie may be more casual than a repp silk tie, but this one is black. Black shoes seems like an...uncontroversial choice. I would be more receptive to a call for black derbies.

I like what you have going on -- very minimal. I wonder if a black full brogue bal would be cool with it?

yes.

didnt you pair a black grenadine and brown shoes together? and i said i didnt like it and you kept saying how you thought it worked great??

do not think so. i think you are thinking of a fit with a blue tie. i could be wrong though, but i think i remember all my fits with the black grenadine and i think all were with black shoes. feel free to prove me wrong if you have the pic.

I THINK that's a good looking rig T, but as usual it's impossible to tell how well it fits, with you always doing a Prince Charles with your jacket pockets. Jus sayin!

It looks good. I think it fits fine. But, he's not really asking about fit ;) T knows his stuff well enough, he knows how clothes need to fit better than a lot of us, including me.

I just really wonder what's so intriguing, far off to his right. :)

I myself don't know what I was looking at. My wife was able to catch the most awesome decisive moment.

Yeah. I never put hands in any of my pockets and I leave lower jacket pockets stitched up. Hands in jacket pockets just spoils the jacket line to me.

New sportcoat by Hugo Boss. All cotton and I really like the fit on me. I need to have the sleeves hemmed a touch, but other than that, it feels good on me.

SC - BOSS
Shirt - JAB Slim Fit
PS - BB
Belt - Martin Dingman
Pants - BOSS
Shoes - AE (I finally have another pair incoming to add some variety)

I can't imagine forgoing all of the utility of my jacket pockets for something as ephemeral as the line of the jacket. Where you put your stuff, man?
