This looks great, but would have been even better with brown, somewhat less formal shoes, imo.
Brown shoes will lead to brown belt. Brown belt and a black tie, knit or no, will lead to nowhere good.
mrjester, check out Yount's knits. They are wider than most knits (3 inches) and pointed.
Derk, Stitchy - get a room!
I have never seen somebody use the term "dick holster" outside of the military. Did not expect to see it here.
Pointed knits are the devils work. Takes all the fun out of it. But thank you sir.Brown shoes will lead to brown belt. Brown belt and a black tie, knit or no, will lead to nowhere good.

Yes, brown is always more versatile.Would you say a brown belt is more versatile than a black belt? I want a one-type-fits-all-occasions belt.
I think that the belt is simply supposed to blend in with your trousers? Visually, I can't see how matching a belt with physically distant shoes will do any good.

I kind of try to keep the two separate any way possible. I learned this years ago, didn't need SF to point that out.i dont see a black tie and brown shoes working together, personally. regardless of the belt.
