Colorwise this is fine, but that jacket is (sorry) a prime example of what they mean when they say "your jacket looks like you stole it from your little brother". Love the shoes. Which last?

I completely disagree with you. The clothing itself skews towards more casual and more contemporary, thus the fit is commensurate with the style. Had the fit been a suit, I would have wholeheartedly agreed.

acecow: I think everything looks pretty good, but, irrespective of your comfort in the jacket, it looks too tight. That may or may not bother you. :)

Thanks. I don't know what to do about it. On one hand, many people said it looks too tight, so i'm willing to accept it. On the other, that's the way my body is. If I make it looser in the waist, wouldn't it fit worse?

Not necessarily, a jacket doesn't have to follow your body contours like a swimsuit. A bit more room everywhere (not just on the waist) would make it look more comfortable. It doesn't have to be much more room, really.

That said, I think it doesn't look bad at all as it is. And length is fine...

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. They have been duly noted. Went to a fund raiser for the African American Museum here in town and this is what I wore.

The patterns on the suit/shirt/tie match too closely. You should wear a simple white pocket square, because the one you have right now matches the color of the tie and looks like a tie-hanky combo from TJ Max from afar. The suit could use a little tailoring. Also, I would use a different tie knot. You might want to move the tie bar a little lower and slant it a bit to give it more nonchalance. I like the lapels and the shirt color on you.

Just don't worry about it too much. Especially when we all judge from just one photo, which may be not true to life at all.

Oh, I don't. But these discussions are fun and I often learn something new, so I love to participate.

Its a matter of personal preference. I'd like my sweaters to fit like Acecow's jacket but would prefer my SCs to not contour my body as much. But if he is comfortable in it then he should certainly wear it with confidence.
