I think you've got the right diagnosis. All of that aside, though, the fabric is really beautiful, and your tie is the perfect choice.

TTO, sorry to hear of your friend's death.

Looking very good, I'm not usually a big fan of your more flashy looks but I think that this ensemble looks simple and amazing.

I have always been interested in style, I look for inspiration from other well dressed gentlemen. Unlike some of my uncles, cousins and occasionally my father who can afford high ends bespoke items, I am not well off yet, but I'd like to think that I make the most out of what I can afford. As I look for inspirations, I found out that my style is inspirational and influential. Even in my high school days, from time to time I would wear slacks, dress shirt, tie and I would sometime wear a sport coat. Instead of getting bullied of teased by my peers, I gained a lot of respect. I have seen young man trade their zoot suits, their bigger than their heads fat knot to a more refined look after we have acquainted. By no means I am stating that I know everything I need to know, far from it, I am still a baby at that. I have joined this forum to learn and to be inspired.
Thank you for reading,

Thanks very much, gentlemen. I think I'm finally starting to wear my suits pretty well. Now I must devote more effort to my jacket/tie combos.

Some nice looks today ...

TC - i'd totally wear that
NOBD - real nice. i feel like the jacket may be a little too full. Your hand is blocking the waist section so hard to be 100% sure
Baron - agree with some of the other comments made. Not your best, but still better than most
Spoo - 3 piece, city cut = Black shoes. Black shoes, black shoes, black shoes, black shoes!!!
TTO - sorry to hear about your friend. Hope he is in a better place right now.
PandArts - nothing to hide about - it fits you well, and your color choices were spot on (even though a little safe - which obviously is the name of the game
JPQ - Very nice
NDW - could the coat be a little shorter. it seems a little too long ... maybe its the camera angle.
Mike - Fix your damn knot ... lol
Threadbearer - Coming along nicely. I think you need to step your tie game up. Your ties look generic sometimes.

Thanks, Nii. The suit has all kinds of issues, probably in the waist section too.

I believe the word you're looking for is "cheap."

Thanks nii...my only regret is that I didn't have any nice black cap toes to really complete the look
