Since Bob Barker is leaving television next month, I think it fitting to create a thread in his honor for all of us fools who watch The Price is Right just to see him. Does anyone know who his replacement will be and what are your opinions on them? It will be sad to see Bob leave, he's a real television icon.

Truth or Consequences was my favorite 'game' show. I never watched The Price is Right.

When I was a kid I decided that if I were to ever be on television I would use a microphone like Bob Barker's.

His excited shout of: "A new car!" is pretty cool. It is one of those idiosyncratic traits that ranks up there with Harry Caray calling a home run: "There's a long drive, it might be! It could be! It is! A home run, holy cow!"

And any of a number of Vin Sculleyisms. These are things you don't see anymore in TV or radio in the up and comers. Although I do like Bill Walton's call when he's doing NBA games of "Throw it down, big man, Throw it down!"

I remember back when I was a kid, whenever I stayed home sick from school I would watch the Price is Right. Those were the days...

Are you saying that I should make a cheap-quality video of myself pretending to present a new car to some unsuspecting show guest and post it on Youtube?
