Just because, here's a picture of John Charles Daly, charming host of What's My Line?:

Remember the Broadway columnist, Dorothy Kilgallen? A regular on What's My Line. Kilgallen was granted an eight minute interview with Jack Ruby, after the JFK assassination. DK promised her publisher that she'd 'break the case wide open.' She never got the chance. Kilgallen died, before her story made it to press. All of her notes disappeared.
btw: She's in the back row, center.
Arlene Francis is shown, before undergoing rhinoplasty.

Ivan, that's my favorite WML panel configuration. I really liked Fred Allen, and he died several years before Dorothy. The episode that aired right after his death is available on YouTube. It starts with Daly talking about how they'd planned a tribute to him, but his widow asked that they play the game as usual, because Fred would have wanted it that way.

I'll look for it. What's My Line was by far, my favorite television quiz show. The black tie clothes, the mystery guests, those zany blindfolds. Great fun.
