Hi,
I was at Marshalls today at lunch and found a pair of RRL Japanese Selvage Jeans for 50.00. The care instructions say wear without washing for 90 days, then wash in cold, hang dry, warm iron.

OK, cool, that is how I care for all of my selvage denim. Problem is: these jeans are a 32x30. I really wear a 31x30. I would like to shrink these. Is it even possible?

BTW I don't care about the color or finish on these.

i read before that RRL selvedge denim sometimes doesn't measure to the tagged size maybe you should check?

i also think they are sanforized so they won't shrink much.

yes RRL are sanforized and will shrink only minimally to stretch back out upon wearing again.

but as mentioned above, RRL is very quirky in its sizing of the waist. ive seen a larger labeled waist size measure out smaller than a smaller labeled waist size.

my RRL slim cut jean is 29 waist but it measures out to 33 inches in the waist. i had to get that one over the one that was 31 or 30 when it was sold here because those were actually smaller waisted for some reason.

if it aint your color and size, dont get it. no matter how good the deal is,

at the end of the day, it is still 50 dollars spent.
