I absolutely love Roxette. It's awful, I know, but I listen to their cds constantly at work and jam out. Maybe b/c I liked them growing up or something. Luckily I've got a bunch of friends who are fans of super cheesy music so it's not so bad, but I occasionally hope my coworkers don't hear "Dressed for Success" blasting out of my headphones. Their stuff just puts me in an awesome mood.

I know some of you have them, what are your guilty pleasure bands?

some ****** vocal trance at times - Armin van Buuren, Jan Johnston, Tiesto, etc.

growing up in the 80s, Duran Duran (pre 83) used to be my guilty pleasure band, but now I'm a proud D2 enthusiast!

Eh, I enjoy a lot of 60s freak-out, psych music... **** that will only earn you coolness points with stoners and hippies - two groups I go out of my way to avoid associating with
wink.gif

As for modern crap... haven't listened to the radio for a while, and no cable TV. However, when I was in elementary school, I did listen to Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi, GNR and top 40 AM radio crap. Thank god I didn't have the money to buy any albums back then.

Like 13th Floor Elevators? And crap, I was nostalgically listening to Bryan Adams today. Kill me now.

On a similar Bryan Adams note, a buddy of mine saw Ryan Adams play a show in DC a year or two ago. In between songs someone towards the front requested "18 Till I Die" and "Everything I Do." Ryan squinted, pointed out the guy, and had security REMOVE the dude from the show.

That's what I'm talking about.

Bryan Adams: Yeah, well at least your name isn't Bryan Adams...

Samir: You know there's nothing wrong with that name.

Bryan Adams: There was nothing wrong with it... until I was about 12 years old and that no-talent ass clown became famous and started winning Grammys.

Samir: Hmm... well why don't you just go by Ryan instead of Bryan?

Bryan Adams: No way. Why should I change? He's the one who sucks... ah F*ck it. Ryan it is.
