How does the TG73 last fit? Considering the St James II in vintage cherry. For comparison, I wear the following:

Carmina Rain: uk5.5
Carmina Simpson: uk6
Carmina Soller: uk5
Enzo Bonafe 74945: uk5.5
Allen Edmond: us7

They have the E in stock and was thinking of starting with the 5.5E.

I would start by taking the same size as the Carmina Simpson last (UK 6)

If you need the shoes urgently and this is why you are going with E width because they have them in stock, I would suggest to check with them first. G&G they are never out of stock, according to their website, in any of the sizes on their RTW models. That is suspicious to me. If you go through every single model, they seem to have every single size from 5 to 13 in half size increments in stock, at all times. Hard to believe and I don't believe it, but I don't know. In fact, I remember some time ago when they ran a promotion on their RTW in-stock models and for some people here it took a long to get their order. O course it will be much faster than an MTO model since they are presumably regularly making these.

So if 5.5E they told you it's not ready for immediate dispatch, you might as well go with the width you really want or choose a different model that is actually in stock, if you are in a hurry.

I'll complicate your choices based on some of the others' feedback: I'm a fairly standard US 11D on the brannock device.

I wear:
Allen Edmonds: US 11
John Lobb: UK 10
St Crispin: UK10
Edward Green: UK 10.5
G&G: UK 10.5

just received my fitting shoe for the urban commando, what’s everyone thoughts,
is the boot to long in length judging from the crease position ? Should I down size ? I notice slight creasing at the top of the toe cap.

hate to say it but it looks like the shoes are too narrow on your feet. maybe it's the angle but they look like the opposite of what you are saying...

Show the pics to their agent and they will help you professionally. He's been in the shoe business for 50 years.
