“I have known and admired Fernando for many years and it has always been clear that he is a committed winner like me,” said Aston Martin chairman Lawrence Stroll.

Well tbf, winning to Lawrence Stroll means making money so I'm sure Alonso is winning in that sense. He's going to make a boatload of money driving around in 16th place.“I have known and admired Fernando for many years and it has always been clear that he is a committed winner like me,” said Aston Martin chairman Lawrence Stroll.

I mean, is this any different from the NFL Network having insiders or beat writers for a team's website?I don’t take issue with that analysis (or the other content they publish), but it feels weird for the promoter of the series to be doing “journalism” as well.
I don't go to those sources, either, so, no, it's no different.I mean, is this any different from the NFL Network having insiders or beat writers for a team's website?
Isn't AT essentially a junior team for RB? That said, it would indeed be interesting to see that team have a seasoned professional. Alonso is a formidable mid-field driver who still has what it takes to win every once in a while. Races are definitely more interesting with him in it. If he can make some big $$$ by going to AM this late in his career, then hats off to him.I'm disappointed he chose to go to Aston Martin, would have preferred to see him swap drives with Gasly.
