Florsheim vs Loake quality

I heard the pebble Kenmoors are better than the smooth ones. I've spent the last month trying to figure Kenmoors out. All the people at Florsheim I spoke to say it's full grain leather.

I wouldn't even bother with currently made Florsheims. Loake all the way.

I thought those were still made with full grain leather with "the same tools and everything" in India

So they said. But I'm not claiming to know for certain. I did order a pair of pebble black so I will be able to say once they arrive in a week's time.

I would have though almost any Loake shoe is better the current Florsheims. correct grain is not the end of the world for a daily-wear work shoe. The black L1 Loake ranges polish up very well.

There are quality differences between different corrected grain types as well.
