Thought this post from @dieworkwear IG was pretty funny.

Any funny stories from you guys? I've had this happen a few times. Before I knew about Creed cologne I was at Kitson in Bev Hills and I grabbed a small bottle (b/c I liked the smell....don't think the price was on the box) and took it up to the counter to be checked out. Dude was like, "That'll be $325." I responded surprisingly, "Oh dang.....my bad, I'm not trying to spend $300 bucks on cologne." He was like (while chuckling), "I understand.....you should check out Macy's. They have a large selection of fragrances." I then walked around the store a few times (to not appear like I was totally wasting his time) before I headed out.

@ragincajun I struggle with this exact situation, but less as the consumer and more as the dude behind the desk. i've been largely out of the shop lately and working exclusively down at our studio/fulfillment, but the amount of times someone has picked up a Visvim hoodie and set it down while grabbing their wallet out of their pocket.... only for me to be like "and.... that's $1200 after tax". I also don't wanna get ahead of it and be like "hey i see you picking up those jeans... from a company Visvim. Oh you've never heard of it? It's got a really niche following... that's why those jeans are over a grand. yep. no, i am not joking"

You guys are killing me. I've fo sho been in this situation, more times in LA. In San Diego it's more obvious the stores one can't afford. I'm in the second hand stores more times, so somtimes $20 is more than I wanna pay.

When there's Arabic on a Frederic Malle bottle, it's not for me. Found that out at the Chicago Barneys.

I have zero issue checking prices on tags. Ain't no one I have to impress out here.

Was recently at the Stoffa showroom and the tee they had me wear while they got some numbers almost had me looking to do an add-on but after they quoted me the price I was more like "one pair of trousers will do"

I have a weird tic where after I check the price tag and see that it's 4x what I thought it would be, I give the fabric a little rub between my fingers, as if to say "well sure, I could afford it, but it just doesn't feel right".

If you have problems checking the price tag when buying clothes, there's something wrong with you. And it has nothing to do with your bank account.
