Any word on the enterprising capitalist who grabbed all the Brooks Brothers Edward Green stock recently, bet he's taking his personal time polishing them for us eager SF customers. Nothings shown up on ebay yet
:lurk:
Who sold them last year on ebay??

General question: admittedly, Edward Green RTW are great and iconic shoes, and I’m very happy to have my Juniper calf Dovers; however, what about custom shows in exactly the same price range? If I can get Maftei (Vienna) custom (with custom last and sample pair for adjustments and then the finished pair, hand sewn welt, superior leather, etc. etc.) for exactly the same price as Green Dovers at retail, why should I not choose the custom shoes over the Greens (especially if I already have the one style I really care about from EG)?

“Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who’s the fairest of them all”.

1. EG Chelsea 202C (Black) - Strictly Business Suits (Navy/Gray)
2. EG Cadogan 202C (Burgundy) - Business & Casual Suits
3. St. Crispin 114 (Black) - Dinner Suit & Formal Wear
4. G&G Rothschild DG70 (Vintage Oak) - Strictly Casual Suits (Brown/Tan/Country)
3. Anthony Cleverley Bodie (Black) Dressy but slightly less Formal Occasion

I think this is it. A “battle ready” Oxford Shoe set up. Took a while to assemble (including MTO’s and Semi-Bespoke)

When you get a factory restoration by EG, do they mark the shoe somehow so that you know its been restored? Also is there a way to determine what year an EG shoe is made based on the numbers inside the shoe?

When i did a pair, aside from re sole and liner, they provided a new box with my name on it.
I requested toe taps to be installed, which i was told they could not do, however a call to Robert at Jermyn st ( when he was there fixed it)...
One if the EG experts here, can mist certainly the numbers/Date question
