I've heard conflicting reports about the immunity. The IMF's articles supposedly grant him limited immunity in re work-related matters, but he may benefit from full immunity under earlier treaties covering the heads of UN agencies.

DSK being the head of IMF should be on par with a Head of State like Barrack.
If IMF wont go out on a limb for their head honcho, who would they go out on a limb for?

As for looking like a bigger jerk, DSK wont mind being slammed as a ******, instead of having a new husband in jail.

They likely went by the notoriously high rack rate. They did the same thing when saying his Premiere Class ticket from JFK-CDG was $10k. As to his suits, maybe he'd buy $25k worth of suits, but I doubt any single suit cost that much.

DSK does all right, but his salary is in the $450k region, and he receives a $75k "cost of living" bonus, along with many, many perks and expenses -- but he's not platinum rap star hedge fund manager level. DSK's particular wealth comes in the form of power, not money.

Anyway, why cant IMF pay for their head's first class tickets.
What makes you think the guy needs to get discount coupon version of first class travel?
IMF is soaked with money you know.
