It looks like the new boots being posted here in the last few weeks have much more consistent stitching, both welt and upper, than I recall seeing in the past. Am I imagining it, or is White‘s starting to up its game a bit?
I find it amusing that after all the chirping around here about unacceptable QC rates, that there have been no additional comments as people are receiving their builds. So far, things are looking clean at first blush.

Why does that amuse you? If the build is correct, there is no need to comment... correct should be the default.

My veg tan SD were very well finished and stitched, and appear to be exactly what I ordered... if they had not been, I would have commented...

I admit I adhere to the old adage, "Good, Fast, or Cheap... pick two..." and so was a little concerned (but secretly pleased) when the boots on which I was originally quoted a 14 week lead time arrived in 8... but all was well... White's met my expectations with this pair, and I have no problem saying that publicly.

I specifically called out the build quality on mine and zoomed in on the details. You are just not paying attention.

Apart from the eye/hook snafu, my pair of Black Friday BHs seemed to be finished better than any other pair of White's I have. Certainly better than the last pair of BHs I received last summer which had pretty wonky upper stitching (and other issues). Granted, mine's not a huge sample size, but hopefully White's is finally getting on top of the QC problems that have been highlighted here in the past few years. I've had to send back far too many pairs in the last year :(

I notice you did not get the pull tab on the Distressed 8” BH. Are they easy to get on your feet?

Not as easy as with a pull tab lol. Especially with no hooks as well.

Did they ask before swapping in CXL?

Nope. It was a genuine mistake. Forgive but never forget, I might be seeking a little something off a HH build in 2022 haha.

The brown elk tan look great and this is one of the better toe caps I have seen so far.

Curious though on the pull tabs with a 6" boot. Besides the lack of necessity, I would think that they would catch on slacks.

Hey @Patek, Thanks. I have always ordered my boots with pull loops. However, those are all 10" boots and this is my first pair of 6". I never thought to omit them as I've always found them useful. Time will tell, but you may be right. I'll have to see how things go when I finally get a chance to wear them. So long as I keep buying jeans that are plenty long, I'm hoping that they won't ride up above the pull loop.
