Anyone had any custom work done by cottle? Keen to see the results as I enquires about some Sashiko work on their jeans.
I am actually in the process of having some patchwork done on a zen loan shirt. I don't know if it's the norm, but Toshi is doing the repair work. Here is a photo he sent me of various sashiko stitches he does for repairs on a swatch. Hope it is helpful.

That's really useful. How much extra did you pay above retail?

We are working within a range and I haven't gotten a final quote. I will say the range is more than the piece itself. I bet you could do a repair on a smaller budget. I asked for precious cloth and hand stitched repairs. It seems the price is in line with the difference between the craftsman items, and the base model that is patched for the craftsmen.

It is being stitched now, and I'll report back to this thread with pictures when it arrives.

For posterity and anyone curious: me wearing the CHAMPETRE BOUQUET JACKETーLAOS NUME in the size 1 (smallest size). Jacket makes me look more of a unit but I don't mind that. Though I'm glad I did take the smallest size and not sure how others are rocking the bigger sizes. Standing at 5'8" 180 lbs.

That is part of the fun with cottle. Most tops allow you to size down or up. I have that jacket in the kakishibu in a 2 at 6’0 150 lbs. I don’t even bother considering measurements but length and sleeve length purchasing tops. Some pieces have elongated sleeve length (the above jacket included) which allow room for rolling or sizing down.
Granted, I’ve mostly gone with my true size, 2 across pants and tops. Have yamabakamas in a 3 and smock in a 3, but everything else is size 2.

My first shipment has landed and is in the US, but stuck in customs. I can't wait for it to arrive!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait myself - what will you be stocking?

In other news, I liked my first fleece so much that I had to grab a second. I've sold my other fleeces or fleece-adjacent products to partially fund this endeavor.

@LeBeef @zenosparadox first delivery, and with us being one of the few stockiest (?) in the US, we hope to get back into stuff that was not available when we wrote the order (those fleeces being one of the items).

Here's what I've got coming, hopefully landing before end of week if customs releases it.
