Corter Leather 14oz Vegetable Tanned Leather "Standard" Utility Belt in Natural - - Redesigned!
7360000.1b.JPG
Introducing the "New" Corter Leather Standard Utility belt! It is a simple, classic staple to the Corter line that's been redesigned using the last 6 years of experience. The new design features solid brass hardware, rounded and burnished edges, and a sanded backside; and even though there is more labor involved and a more expensive buckle the price is staying at $55. Blue Owl can honestly say this is an extreme improvement to an already incredible product and this is the best belt we have seen for the price in the market today. Corter Leather 14oz Vegetable Tanned Leather "Standard" Utility Belt in Natural * Corter standard belts are made with 16oz vegetable tanned leather which has been skived down to approximately 12-14oz, hand cut, and made with solid brass hardware. * 100% vegetable tanned harness leather * Solid brass roller buckle and two Chicago screws (screws make buckle easy to replace with your own buckle using only a flat head screw driver) * Rounded and burnished edges, sanded back side * Totally stitch free (stitching is the first point of failure on most belts) * 1-1/2" wide, 1/4" thick * Made in the USA * Available in sizes 30, 32, 34, 36, 38

Hello,

First time poster here. I bought one of the premium grab bags and received one of Corter's indigo dyed totes, which, unfortunately, I'm not too interested in... If anyone wants it, I'll gladly send it to you for the price of the grab bag ($35.50) + 6.00 shipping (USPS Priority Box). Nothing wrong with it, just not interested... Photos taken with a cell phone camera.

I feel the same way...just got my premium and accessory one. Indigo Dye tote bag (very clean dye job) and a Pewter Bottlehook w/extra Copper Split Ring. Sadly I haven't lucked out with a Classic Bi-Fold or a Standard Card Case...been wanting to upgrade my wallet!

I also got the first grab bag of the summer which was some type of lanyard/belt loop leather cuff with split ring in oxblood and a standard card wallet which is just a touch too bulky for me to use.

I'm willing to trade anything in the picture for a Bi-Fold or Standard Card Case! Just shoot me a PM. If you're super interested in the Indigo Dyed Tote...buy from the guy above me! I'm just looking to trade right now :)

How does this compare to Tanner's natural belt?

Tanner's version is a bit more refined, skived down and processed more, plus it is waxed. Tanner is a very nice belt. It really isn't fair to compare a $100 belt to a $50 belt, Tanner is much nicer and should be for the price. That being said, Corter is vastly improved and remarkable quality for the price.

I was given a Corter Standard Utility Belt in 'natural' as a gift and it doesn't fit and I can't exchange it which is unfortunate. It's a 30" belt, never been worn and I still have the bag and SKU card with it. This is not the 'NEW' utility belt, this is from June, so silver buckle. Asking $50 shipped anywhere in the US. Shipped expedited from Brooklyn.

If I wear size 32" pants/jeans, but my true waist size is 36, what size belt should I get? I'm assuming either 34 or 36

If you can, measure a belt you currently own from where the buckle meets the leather to the whole you most commonly use. That's your size.

I size my belts the same way and sometimes refer my customers to Corter's diagram for sizing.

Going to point out, just now, that Tanner and Corter are different and I agree with the above post. My Tanner english tan belt has aged in a way that is difficult to believe, it is so beautiful. Having said that, my new corter belt is incredible, and given that I have now bought 2 corter belts (black and the natural), and a bottlehook in copper, I guess I am a huge fan. His stuff is brilliant.

So now I'm down to Tanner, Corter and FFF for leather goods.
