They stretch a little. I get the impression that suede and grained leathers are often softer and more flexible than calf. The style and stitching probably impacts on strength versus flexibility but I'm no expert.

The 205 is nice and elegant with the extended chisel toe. Still stylish. I am currently having my first pair resoled after over 3 years but several pairs in my rotation. The sole had come loose. I'll post pictures when I get them back.

I also have a few pairs of Cheaney shoes and boots (approximately 15 pairs). The shoes on the 11028 last have the same creasing as shown above. They fit great though. I can also recommend the 205 last, of which I actually own a pair with dainite soles.

I ought to stop it but....

I spied these on the website and had to try them on at Cheaney's Cambridge store. 'King' boots, 130 last like @blake-stitched-blues recent suede boots. Wearing them around home this evening. I reckon these shall be versatile with jacket/trousers or smartish jeans.

Went back to Cheaney today and swapped the Fenchurch 10's for the 9.5's, which feel much better, to join my Limes in 10. I'm tired of going back and forth now so will see over the next few months how they progress and which ends up feeling better - currently now the Fenchurch are more snug than the Limes. I also tried on the Berkeley in 9.5 which were even more beautiful in real life and they felt great - a better fit than either Lime or Fenchurch, but I can't justify the expenditure for a leather sole. Maybe after my paychecks start rolling in I will cop and rotate with the other two meaning a wear once a week.

Does anybody happen to own the Islington, perhaps in Oceano or Fox suede? I'm curious about what it looks like in person, since there aren't many pictures to see online. I want to grab a pair of suede semi-brogues at some point, so the Islington seems like a good option.

I own them and can recommend them. Very comfortable. Just wish I also ordered the green one when they were still available.

I would be concerned about how to get into Balmoral boots but they certainly look good. I have chukkas in 225 last and King Derby Boots in mocha 130 last which are also excellent. Please let us know when you have tried them.

I have yet to see a proper review for most new Cheaney models. Also highly interested in the Trafalgar model.

And especially for you guys some live pictures even if it's a record high here today of about 25 degrees centigrade

@Northants bloke : I have a high instep and have no troubles at all getting into these boots. I also own Balmoral boots from Alfred Sargent which are a pretty tight fit.

Only complaint I have is that they have freakishly long laces.
