Curious if anyone has used Cheaney's recrafting services recently. It's at 120 GBP and coming from the US, resole will be >$200. I know the benefits of sending to the factory as I have G&G perform my recrafts, but the price point of Cheaney puts me on pause. The other factor as I'm in NYC so there are a couple excellent cobblers.

I have twice so far. It only makes sense for favourite items. It isn't always economically sensible even living near the factory given that I have often bought seconds or sale items.

Thanks for the response. It's the shipping both ways that add up to the cost else I wouldn't mind. It's a pair I'm on the fence on and likely replace with rubber soles so I'll probably just have them done locally. Cheers!

Is their colour accurate in your photo?
My experience has been that Cheaney's product images are darker than in reality.

It was overcast when I snapped that picture so they look a little darker than they really are. If you look at Crafty's Instagram account he wore the same boots today. His picture is more accurate in showing the color. I am not going to post his picture without his permission. Let me know if you can't find it. He also posted pictures of them back in April (~23 weeks ago).

Anyone familiar with an "S" written on the tongue? Does that mean seconds/subs perhaps? I have seen the S inside a circle stamped on the soles of Cheaney subs before but have not seen it on the tongue.
