Thank you, very nice! One question though: are the specs accurate? They list the leather as Armagnac, but these look much lighter in color?

These are Amaretto. Amaretto isn't available as a standard offering so those of us who participated in the GMTO picked a standard cordovan color and noted Amaretto in the comments section. Same applied to the color 4 Gmto that just ended.Thank you, very nice! One question though: are the specs accurate? They list the leather as Armagnac, but these look much lighter in color?
Armagnac is actually dark brown. These are AmarettoThere's a lot of color variation on lighter colored shell. That's a reason why the majority of shell is sold in darker colors.

Similar to Allen Edmonds “bourbon,” I actually love armagnac. I describe it as brown with olive undertones. As such, its color temperature is cooler than many other browns which have red undertones and certainly cooler than burgundy. This allows Armagnac to pair very well with cool color palettes: blues (as you have done here), cool greys, greens, even some browns on the cooler end of the spectrum, taupe, etc. I like it as a change of pace from the warmer browns which seem to be more common.
