xpost from the sizing thread:

I've read this thread through but am still unaware of my size since I haven't found a common reference point. I am guessing I would be a 6UK in the Rain last.

I wear:

6.5 UK in the Tricker's Stow
6UK in Paul Smith
40 in Margiela
40 in Jil Sander

I am going to try on the Allen Edmond Park Avenue tonight, but the only references in this thread are to the Alcudia models.

p.s I also do not have wide feet, if that is any help.

^ I mean the 2000th post in this thread was written by you, not that you've written 2000 posts.

These are great boots. Don't understand why nobody does this pattern? (pics from Trading Post Japan).

If anyone is planning to order shoes directly from Carmina and wouldn't mind adding a belt to the order to save me 30 euro in shipping, I would really appreciate it.

They're both shell, burgundy and saddle. They remind me of modified last Alden plain toe boots. Not so much for the shape, but for the sexy counter. The pics are from Trading Post, a retailer with several shops in Tokyo and in most major Japanese cities.

http://tradingpost.jp/nagoya/13500/

At the beginning of this year, these boots were on sale at their Nagoya shop. From ¥105,000 down to ¥47,250. Not sure if they have them in stock. Can call if you'd like.

The model is 10016. On Carmina's site, it's on the soller last. But, from my conversations with attendants at the Trading Post, they don't handle the Soller. So I think these are on a different last.

WHY DON'T OTHER RETAILERS CARRY THIS MODEL?

Try Betty at carminashoemaker.com. Just give her your size and the models you're interested in, and ask what's in stock.

Is there some trick to finding all of the Carmina models at Trading Post? When I go to the Carmina collection link, these boots don't show up.

I'm trying to decide between their cognac moccasin and epaulet's suede carmina moccasin.

Any advice?

I love Epaulet's Carmina Whitman loafer most of all, if it just weren't for that split toe.

The collection link is only their standard models. Thy have many special runs. There is a search box in the upper right. Search for "Carmina". You'll have to scroll through 16 pages. No idea what is in stock though.
