Odd that don't have a phone number or an email listed to contact them.

he still owes me $100 for the SF Club repp tie i never received.

Does anyone have an E-mail address or Telephone number to reach Chuck or Jill? Thank you
    [IMG]

Yeah, he owes me money too!

I am still waiting on a tie or $100 also.

I got it too and was just about to post the same question. I subscribed to the mailing list in the email and received an automated response with a 50% off coupon good through the end of the year. The email was signed "Jill" which I believe is Chuck's wife. He made some great ties. But I'm kinda reticent after my last experience years ago. I wonder if they're starting it back up or just clearing old stock.

looks like he'll be owing 2 ties now to everyone instead of 1

Are they back in business? Wow......

    Website appears to be updated...

back in business sure. after the sf bailout.

Yes, I watched the Carlo Franco thing start up and crash... how long ago was it? It does appear Chuck and Jill are trying to give it another shot. If they are trying to revive this business, their apparent strategy of sticking to their besmirched brand name surprises me. I don't think you could buy a cup of coffee with $5.00 and the Carlo Franco name. This situation still boggles the imagination.

What bothers me is that none of this "buddies" on AAAC ever came out an admitted that guy was a fraud.

IIRC correctly, 'Carlo Franco' was the name of Chuck's grandpa....perhaps they didnt want to turf it for emotional reasons - but ya, from a business viewpoint, I agree with you.

According to those at AAAC, Carlo Franco still has some outstanding orders from 2005.

    I can't wait to place my order for a $150 tie.[IMG]

You could buy the coffee. You just wouldn't get it.

    Same as the ties.

My sartorial aspirations are just not that high these days ( going in different directions ).

But I would like to get a Beamann or Westmanscott suit in 2010. Well, at least Westmannscott. With him at least you get something for your money. And a bargain it is. Ultimate Bespoke, of course.

Did you sign up for Westmanscoot's "7 Deadly Suit Wearing Sins"? I am now afraid I will inadvertently kill my self due to suit wearing ignorance!

Strange thing is that I've never ordered anything from them or even contacted them, yet, I got the same email. I suspected AAAC sold my email address to them. [IMG]

A preposterous and unsubstantiated accusation. And I wont say more in this thread.

I did receive the email. May be I jumped to conclusion too quickly. I don't know exactly how they got my email address, I just used process of elimination and AAAC seemed to be the most obvious.

P.S. Are you one of the Malindae?

Ha, no I am not one of the Malindea [IMG], but the implications of your Post was that is that AAAC and the actual administrators of the site, or those that had access to the email list may have benefited from selling that list which is something that Neither Andy nor any of the (current) moderators that would have access to the list would do. I am pretty sure that Andy himself got burned as well with this whole CF matter.

Given the lack of business sense that appeared to accompany the aforementioned crash & burn, restarting the business using the same name seems to be following in the same footsteps.

Anyway, IIRC, I used them just the once, and got my two ties. They're OK enough - though far from amazing - but I waited something in the order of a couple of months to receive them. I guess on balance I was lucky...

Given the history since then, I certainly would go nowhere near this business again, regardless of how much of a discount they'd care to offer.

Nah...Gentlemanly behavior and a moderators attempt that all hell doesnt break loose as is wont in topics like this. I am 100% confident that the list was not sold or given to CF or to any of his team.
