I do delivers with a 5 year dainese leather jacket. dust and smog are building up. making the jacket worn out. inside its a bit stinky from persipiration. so thought to hang it in the shower and use a sponge and some detergent on the inside and run water through the arm holes and inside. not a heavy wash. the outside though is starting to look "tired"

looking for a product to keep the black nice and a cleaning/protection for it as well?

Dainese offers a full cleaning service for their products. I would either do that or bring it to a specialist leather cleaners. I did what you suggested with my first leather motorbike oufit and virtually ruined it. The leather shrank and became stiff as cardboard. There are (next to Dainese own leather cleaner and conditioner) numerous products out there for gentle cleaning and conditioning of leather furniture which are good for motorbike leather clothes as well. Best is not to use any greasy leather treatments as these just attract more dirt and dust.
