Buying and Selling on eBay: Tips, Tricks, Problems & Questions

The buyer never responded to the photos or messages in the return request. I also added some Megatouch Photo Hunt type shots of the two shirts to make it easy for the final rep when I escalated.

They escalated and blocked the return. The way things go though, I won't be surprised if he still calls back and gets his money back from ebay.

That part always bums me out. Almost every time I win a case, it's on appeal, and I know it's ebay footing the bill not the buyer.

I don’t get it. If they know he’s lying, and you’re not at fault…why refund him? Is a scammer’s future business really so sacrosanct?

In a broad sense, I understand it. Other than his initial claim, ebay really has no way to know whether I shipped the shirt in my photo, or If I used a "stock" photo to sell the torn shirt. The platform will always be he-said, she-said....and that's where the bullshit lies. Each transaction relies heavily on the honesty of both parties.

I bought a shoe on eBay. And the seller didn't like the fact that I was the only bidder. So, it sold lower than he really wanted. He delayed, told me he would ship, then cancelled the order. Ebay let it go. It is frustrating.

Haven’t visited this thread in almost a year. Can’t believe it’s the same **** but almost worse.
I only Use eBay now to run a few auctions. Poshmarks been my main source for a while now.

I do very limited listings on eBay right now. Inflation seems to bring out the nutjobs.

Anyone try to ship internationally in the past few days? I have tried shipping a golf club from the USA to the Philippines for the past couple days using ebay international shipping and have gotten this.

Got this on the mobile app too. Address was a mess, but I don't necessarily think that is it. Wound up cancelling the order, I could have probably found a way to get it to the person, but would have been not covered by ebay, and would have cost twice as much as the person paid on a low cost item.

Add this one to the blocked list. Ordered shoes NWT, wears and then claims they're fake. It's so frustrating as Ebay does nothing to make sure this doesn't keep happening. I have the receipt still to close the return quick, but they're not doing anything to stop the user from doing this again.
