Hey guys I have a question about wolverine 1000 Mike boots. Do the my tend to run a little larger than other boots. Thinking about buying a used pair. Thanks.

wow...thanks man for the information!! My cowboy western boots I can most always wear a 11D, but my dress shoes I go up to a 11.5. So I'm thinking now I should be looking a size 10.5 or maybe even a size 10. Sweet!! That's awesome to know. do you have a pair?

I have 2. They're OK, the CXL leather is nice but construction isn't the best. I prefer Redwing iron rangers or Beckmans but the 1K miles are a different aesthetic

The leather is fairly thin, but the overall aesthetic makes them look nicer. Unfortunately there are more incidents of QC issues the last couple of years. Redwing makes a more sturdier boot. However since I own the Beckmans without speed hooks I more often reach for my 1ks.

Hmm, I don't find the leather thin. Mine are a few years old tho.
Rarely wear them now and my wings are relegated to **** kicker status. I found Vass and that was that

Mine are also a couple of years old and I guess I find it thin when compared to the CXL used on my Carmina CXL shoes and Viberg CXL boots. I also find the leather although different on my Redwing Beckmans to be a bit thicker as well.
