For some reason I was thinking you had 15 of them lol for some reason.

No. LOL

I actually had 4 at one time, but that's another story. I won an eBay auction I never expected to win at the lowest bid possible. It was for a pair of Rosewood CC Galways on the 64 Last. They were way too much like my pair of Zugs on the 64 Last. I decided to sell the pair of Rosewood CC Galways. The Heather Gorse is a much better water resistant leather. Besides Edward Green doesn't currently make anything in Heather Gorse, at least now anyways.

There have been a few sites which had some Galways and Dovers in Heather Gorse but most of those are gone now as well. Why exactly no one knows, but most figure the demand for this leather is no longer as great as it may have been in the past given the other various weather resistant options that are available.

Actually the fact that @Leaves was able to pull it off with EG in the first place was kind of amazing. It was an idea first generated here by a few of the SF members and it almost faded away and then @Leaves pulled it off. There were only enough for 15 pairs and those were spoken for within minutes. If you didn't happen to be on SF at the time you were SOL. They went so quick, it's probably set an all time record for GMTOs.

Your not the only one, and who knows it may be possible. As far as I know there has only been one SF member of the original 15 to sell their Zugs on eBay. But this happened shortly after he received them.

Besides it not like the leather can't be made.

1st time ballot HOF member for sure

You betcha.

I had more fun with this particular boot than any other shoe or boot I've gotten so far.

The fact that the leather is such a great fit for this particular boot makes them pretty special.

Thick, waxy, and pretty water resistant.

So do you use lasted shoe tree for your EG & G&G or generic one? Was wondering dam leffot raised G&G lasted shoe tree prices to 200$ and wait is September. And they were selling for 150$ originally.

EG no longer sells Lasted shoe trees. But yes I do tend to use both EG and G&G shoe trees in my respective EG and G&G shoes and boots.
