FWIW , i have a several belstaff jackets and they all run very slim . i normally wear a US size 40 jacket but my Trialmaster which fits great is a 42 (54 EU). an older leather jacket with quite a bit of padding is a 44 and fits tightly. i also have a few belstaff leather jackets that are more for casual wear (not riding) and i have always correctly bought them in large. you have few inches on me and my opinion is that you will find the medium too small for you.

I think an M is going to be short for some one 6' tall.

ok so i bought it.

we'll see if its the right move.
Here is how it fits.
Me being about 5'11.5 (lets call it 6), 167lbs, it fits tight.
its slighty tight when i pull my arms forward, but not too much. The sleeves still stayed ok with my hands up, and it would not be too tight on a bike...but i feel it across my back. Conversly if i pull my shoulders back, i can feel my (amazing) pecs against it, but still not too uncomfortable.
it is snug, no doubt about it
I tried it with a t-shirt, dress shirt, and blazer on top. I'll start wearing it with a Think jacket underneat, in order to break-it in better.

These do stretch out, or break in a little do they?

Sounds like the medium is too snug for you. At your size, you don't sound like an M in the jacket, which is more like an S.

well its do-able as is, just won't have too much room to layer underneath. Ill see how it goes with large...
in your experience, do they break in (or stretch) slightly?

Thanks

U

They break in and become less stiff but it's not like they stretch.

they won't stretch much.

belfast is cut very slim. more important than your height is your chest size / shoulders. if in doubt, size up. personally, i find the armholes uncomfortably small and the shoulders cut on the skimpy side of small. if you're thin, it will work. if you have upper body bulk it will be a squeeze.
