Was looking to throw away my dull looking plastic chairmat and replace it with something nicer for my office. These look like they'd make my office look pretty awesome. Anyone have experience with bamboo?
lowest price I could find was www.EcoSleekShop.com

Thinking about going with the Chocolate Walnut or Classic Dark Cherry color.... what do you guys think?

Dear jinglealltheway,

We have no opinions on your bamboo chairmats. We did not yesterday, and we do not today, which is why we didn't have much to say in this thread, or in the other identical thread you started in the Entertainment subforum. Further bumping will not be necessary.

Sincerely,

-Your friends at styleforum.net

You could just put hard floor casters on your chair. Or use a piece of carpet instead of a plastic mat.

Normal chair casters scratch hardwood pretty badly, because they are designed to roll on carpet.

1. protects hardwood floors from getting scratched/indented.
2. not easy to roll around in an office chair on carpeting. with a chairmat, you can roll around.

these also look really nice. adds contrast to the office. i just ordered 2. the dark chocolate walnut color and dark cherry.

i'll let you guys know what i think.

alright, so my mats arrived the other day. I love 'em.
i ordered both the thinner version and the thicker version.
I definitely recommend getting the thicker version (the one designed for carpets), if you're using it on ANY kind of carpeted surface, because the thinner mat did not work well on carpets.

The thinner one however worked really really nicely in my office on my hardwood floor. And the thick version works fine on my medium-pile carpeting.

between the chocolate and the cherry color, I like the chocolate better. Much richer color, and it matches my dark walls, and gives a nice contrast to the light colored floors.

i suggest getting a mat that is the opposite shade of your floors.

example: if you have dark floors, get a lighter colored mat. Light colored floors, get a darker colored mat. The contrast if gives my office is quite nice.
recieved two compliments from clients so far since I started using them.
highly recommended.
