Dear all,

I live in New York for the last six months and I need to renew a pair of lace-up black shoes to go along with my suit. In France I'm used to buy Loding, Finsbury or Emling, three amazing brands that are amazing alternative to english brands and much cheaper ($200/$300)

Loding has an online presence. I've been looking at them a lot.

What about with a blazer? Is a button-down collar OK then, or should they generally be worn without a jacket?

Go right ahead. Collar choice with suits/sportcoats is all personal preference, really.

I'm undecided about this stripe blazer... can I make it work, or should I return it and get something easier to wear?

I've got my eye on these - love the color. But I haven't worn pants this bold before. What sort of shirts would one wear with these (if in fact you'd wear them at all)?

Hello,

I have a question about dress shirt fit in the shoulders. I've searched around, but I couldn't find an answer to this specific question.

What is considered the "end" of the shoulder? Where does the shoulder end and the upper arm begin? I've been going by the end of my clavicle, but this is a good inch and half short of where the seam would lie if I just drew a line up from the broadest point of my upper arms.

Thanks for any input.

I've always believed the end was where the Acromioclavicular joint is. That is the little bump on the shoulder, about 1/2'' from the end of your shoulder.

Gentlemen,

what is a good shoe to anchor a new wardrobe with?

I'd like one that will go with as much as possible.

Thank you!!
