Hey all,

These kinds of huge tailors' shears are not available anywhere anymore. They haven't been manufactured in 35 years.

The original factory that has the original forms for them. They are willing to re-manufacture a run of these if there were enough orders.

Is anyone interested? It's a rare opportunity if you're into this kind of thing.

I've been looking for a high quality set of shears forever, and the change to get a pair brand new is something I don't want to pass up. If you know someone, please put us in contact.

These are 13" long in total. My goal is to convince them to do a run of 15" or 16" which are definitely not available anywhere in the world I can find.

The price will range between $200 and $250 depending on the number of orders (plus shipping).

If you're interested post here so the thread can get some traction. Thru other avenues, there are a total of 23 orders so far, and the factory needs at least 50 to do it.

I don't want anything up front, just a serious commitment. At the point there are 40 orders total, I'll need a 50% deposit, and the rest on arrival in the US.

The turnaround on this is approx a month once the deposit is received.

Please post here and I'll PM you. I'd like to give this thread a change to get some traction, so please post here first before any PMs to keep it alive a while.

What earthly use would these be to the average reader?

The person interested would probably be a tailor or into tailoring or might know a tailor who might want them? Maybe the obvious slipped you by, but there are a number of tailors that use this forum.

No, it wont have the brass handles, it will all be stainless steel for this initial run.

They were originally branded as "Coricama".

Similar to what Luxottica does with products, this factory in Italy supplies many brand names such as Gingher, etc. I don't believe the company Coricama exists any longer, but many tailors in Italy still use this model we're trying to have reproduced.

This is the original factory that produced it, so they have the original molds.

Obvious question, have you pm'ed the tailors on the forum?

I don't post in MC very much anymore, so I have lost touch with who they are. If you have a list, it would be appreciated.
