I'm actually considering the knock-off Indy boot, but otherwise it's Higgins all the way...Strand's extra pieces and brogueing I think will detract from the marbling seen on large expanses of shoe.
Why the knock-off Indy? MACHINE STITCH SHELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Curse you Alden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Machine stitch is best stich.

They look great after some wears (Dundees and loafers are all three great coloring), but natty typically has a sickly fleshy color that I don't like out of the box. Would rather have Bourbon, etc.
My natty shell Strands (thanks Ashley) have turned to a nice caramel color. Actually a smidge darker than my walnut calf Strands (so, you know, they really aren’t duplicative :-D

Freeport in black marble with actual commando.

Question on sizing. Anybody have the Hamiltons that can compare sizing to Higgins mill? I'm a comfortable 11c in Hamiltons, not sure how that would translate to the Freeport last.

I wear the Hamilton in 10.5D and the Higgins Mill in 10D.

Thanks Ashley!

off the bat, i’m thinking natty freeports with double redenbach sole. And if a 2nd pair: natty strands or marbled HMs on double jr.

if AE somehow ends up with loads of extra after the trunk show, you guys think they’ll continue to keep these colors available?

edit: forgot to say thanks

This is what my natural shell Leeds and Strands look like today after aging.

I didn't think b sizes were available for that last, or that they won't be for the ts. Hmm.
Not for that model I heard since it is not a normal size. In my experience shell tends to have more volume. My shell strand Bs are wider/fuller than my calf strand Cs. HM comes in B widths so it should be an option for the TS unless I read incorrectly.

@ae_ashley how do we tell from the model chart you posted which makeups are not available online or are store-specific? I assume it has something to do with the color coding...

I'm so excited for the Trunk Show! :bounce2:

At first glance I was a bit disappointed, mostly because some models I was hoping for are not present (no wingtips!). But then I started thinking about the possibilities, and those pictures @ae_ashley WOW!!! I'm excluded on size on the Freeport, and really don't wear PAs or sneakers. But I'm in for the other models, my wish list is at 4 already.

Can anyone tell me how fit on the Randolph compares to the Patriot?

Also I assume flat welt on the Strand, Randolph and PA. What about the boots?

Chukkamoks the other day, an unloved release around here. I'll have you know i received a compliment on these the other day, she said she could tell they were very nice shoes. Full disclosure I was at a Kiss concert, so no claims that good taste or high society was prevalent.
