Swapped in some waxed round laces on my Higgins Mill, those flat waxed ones they come with are too tight in the holes (twss) so it makes it difficult taking the off and putting them on, these don't bind up and are much easier to loosen/tighten

The boots look awesome, and I really like those laces in there. Agree that the stock flat laces don't work as well as they could. Fortunately, changing laces is a quick and cheap way to completely change the look of your footwear. I've been using some round Guarded Goods laces in there, but they're a little too thin for my tastes. Where did you get those from? I think they're exactly what I'm looking for.

Ugh. Sorry guys. This one is totally my fault...we actually made a correction internally that the Bone leather is Horween's Carrera, not Essex, and I forgot to update you guys. Same color changing properties, still vegetable tanned to my knowledge. They sound like they are probably "sister" leathers but I'm going to verify that if I can.

So, I stole these out of my pair of Thursday boots, they sell the laces on their website and I found the same brand on Amazon as well.

I’m now excited to learn about a new kind of leather

Instead of calf or horsehide, is it sourced from recycled Porsche car seats?
