I mentioned the AS leather was thinner than the barkers, but actually its not, they are both the same thickness, but the leather on the AS is just feels thinner somehow (also softer) . its the same as c & j handgrades, which I assume is also the same thickness, but feel thinner.
The barkers made my toes bleed as the vamp leather bend and dug Into my toes.

Alfred Sargent sent me this to measure my foot for the correct size.
It was Paul which I think is one of the directors who sent it to me a couple of weeks ago

Are the stitches suppose to be flush with the sole like this, I thought they score the sole with a grove and stich in the groved part to lessen the stich exposure

FYI:

call_3899 on eBay UK sales has a few AS Exclusive and HG

think they're on FB as well (so potentially cheaper if you skip eBay I assume...)

The whole cuts are Herring 1966, in the description it says AS Handgrade. They were made by AS, does anyone know if they are up to same standard as AS handgrade?

Pricing and sole strongly suggests Exclusive standard finishing. Very fine shoes. I think the Monks are full hand grade, although I prefer the other two pairs

Hi folks- I’m rather new to English footwear While I own a handful of Trickers and C&Js at this point, I’m rather taken by Alfred Sargent’s boots. Could anyone share who stocks them? They’re not exactly the easiest to find if you can’t visit one of the boutiques. The usual suspects (AFPOS & Pediwear) appear to both have rather limited or no stock. Thanks in advance for your help.
