Gentlemen:

I've happened upon an a circumstance which necessitates an expedited tailoring. Given the short notice, the only tailor (formerly w/Brooks Brothers) willing to work me in has advised that fabric can be added to the sleeve to facilitate a 1" sleeve lengthening.

I'm troubled by this recommendation.

Please advise.

the added fabric is a seam on the inside of the sleeve.
i have seen in done with no ill effects.
is he getting the fabric from the pants hem, or using something close.

Hmmmm...hopefully I'll suffer no ill effects as well. But yet, the parts are being hemmed so presumably the fabric will be closely matched.
