I generally wear a medium, or 40 US for sport coats. Sometimes size up to large for slouch or to accommodate my broad shoulders. I took the Jamieson Shetland in a 42 and I think it’s perfect for a regular/trad fit. Don’t have a full body shot but here it is with the Document jacket in medium. OCBD is an old Brooks Bros, 16 inch neck opening.

Wearing a version of this today and one of my undergrad students complimented the sweater and asked me where it was from. Did I go into an excitedly long explanation about NMWA, Jamieson's ("the OG of shetlands"), ochre melange, saddle shoulders etc? Yes. Did she just want to want to know simply where it was from and did her eyes glaze over as I went into bizarre detail? Also yes.
BUT!
You too can get compliments from coworkers and other people in your life--and now, it's on sale for a great price!
Shetland wool crewneck sweater, Ochre melange (restock)
As authentic and true to heritage as a Shetland sweater gets. And that shade... Jamieson's is a rare, one-of-a-kind operation: the family breeds the sheep, collects the wool, spins the yarn and knits the sweaters - all on the Shetland island, half-way between the Scottish coast and Norway...
