Or not. Depending on what one considers "better looking". Some may value the creases and misshaping that happens when not putting trees in...I don’t see a down side to using trees for any leather shoes. It could only help them look better as they age.

Sure, in theory. Except that you’d be hard pressed to find people here who subscribe to the balled up suit preference (at least here) whereas I’m sure many of us prefer our casual shoes (thuya, sneakers) to have the shape they acquire when not using trees. I know I do.Yeah, that’s fair. But by that logic I could say I prefer how my suits look when I store them balled up on the floor rather than on a hanger. While that could be my preference, I would think most store them hung in the closet.
Speaking of the Thuya -- what was the consensus opinion on shoe trees or no?
