I'm a Nike sz 8 and wear 39 in CP achilles if it helps..........
This right here is truly a testament as to why CP's need to be tried on in-person. I'm an 8.5 in Nike and wear a 41 in Achilles, and don't even have wide feet. Granted they're a little long in the toes, but the 40's were too small. I know they aren't stocked everywhere, but the best bet is trying them on once you're in a big city with a retailer.

I'm almost the same sizes as you based on US sizing:

True Shoe Size: 7.5EE Vans Authentics - 7
Vans Sk8-His - 7
Ultra Boost 1.0 - 7.5
Ultra Boost 2.0 - 7
Ultra Boost 3.0- 6.5

I have fairly wide feet and sized down 1 size to a size 39 in my Achilles Low and they fit just about expected. As you might probably tell by my shoes, I prefer a pretty ultra-snug fit so that's also a factor

Common Projects run long and narrow so a little extra room in the toebox is normal but the width should be just about right. Based on your sizes; you'll probably need a size 38 to be honest; unless those are UK sizes, then you should go with a 39. Anecdotal evidence suggest they will stretch and break in after a few wears but I am still in the process of breaking mine in to be honest so I have no firsthand experience

That being said: I finally wore my Common Projects for the first time since getting them in December (was waiting for better weather). Are they notoriously uncomfortable until they break in? Haven't had any blistering or anything but they love chewing up the back of my heels and they seem to be doing a number on my pinky toes: were borderline unwearable the first hour but I pushed through the pain and they really loosened up and now they're okay but they still feel pretty snug. Enough to the point where they only barely cross the uncomfortable threshold and feel like given a few more wears; I should be good if they aren't done breaking in yet

I'm a Nike sz 8 and wear 39 in CP achilles if it helps..........
Holy crap, how much do you guys hate your feet? I am a 10.5-11 US, and I wear a size 43 in Common Projects. I tried a pair in size 42 once (the desert boots), but quit after a while because of the discomfort. I can't imagine sizing down even more...

I wear a size 10 in Nike and take a 42 in Achilles and the boots but wonder if I should have gone TTS in the boots as they are narrow.

I thought it was common knowledge that Vans tend to run half size large for most of their less padded models? Authentics and Sk8-His fit half size down for me, but the Eras and Padded Pro models all fit TTS based on trying them on in store for experimental purposes

Adidas Primeknit stretches substantially and has gotten progressively stretchier/softer with every upgrade. The silhoutte is ruined by banana-peeling if you size TTS in the stretchier iterations. If you're not sizing down, you're doing it wrong

In regards to the other guy, Nike tends to fit half-size large in many models; they're TTS 7.5 for me in most shoes, but it isn't unheard of people going half size up and I know a lot of people in real life that have them sized up a half size

Also 11/43 is exactly 4 sizes down compared to 7/39

Ergo, I sized down just as much as you did...... so...

vans (authentic and sk8-hi): 8
nike (jordans and flyknits): 8.5
red wing 875: 7
mmm gat: 41

cp (achilles low, original vintage high, derby shine, winter combat boot, suede chelsea boot): 40

only ones from that above list that fit a little "off" are the vintage highs (roomy toe box area, but not enough to warrant sizing down) and the chelseas (fit a touch too narrow; feet start hurting after 4 or so hours of walking, but i've only worn them twice, so i'm hoping that they stretch)

all of the others fit perfect

Let me help those with sizing issues.

If you wear a size:

US 7/7.5 = 39
US 8/8.5 = 40
US 9/9.5 = 41
US 10/10.5 = 42
US 11/11.5 = 43
US 12/12.5 - 44
US 13/13.5 = 45

this doesn't match up with any US to Euro sizing chart Ive found online. you seem to be one size up. like a US 9-9.5= euro 42 not 41 or us10-10.5=Euro 43 not 42. are you referring to your opinion on CP sizing to US sizing?

For those who speak Alden, I've found my Barrie last to CP Achilles low translation to be:

8.5d Barrie = 9/ eu42 for a proper but somewhat roomy fit (i.e., no ridiculous blistering, no heel slip with no-show socks, enough room for thick woolen socks, toe room so I can run and catch a train, no weird wrinkling on the vamp. Could've sized down to 41, but mainly because I have a low volume forefoot.

The CP sizing question seems reminiscent of the Viberg 2030 last sizing issue. Some size down further than others.

he was referring which size in CP you should get if you are a certain US size. I am US 11 in all sneakers and all footwear and CPs in 43 fit me perfect.

I'd still argue that's a half size in the wrong direction.

11.5-12 = 44
not
12-12.5 = 44

Obviously it's all preference and relative and assuming it's based off Achilles sizing, but I couldn't imagine being a 12.5 wearing a 44.

i'm a bit confused. why are people so interested in sizing down on these types of shoes? aesthetically, i would imagine that normal or even larger shoes would look better than snug shoes.

and yeah, maybe some people don't like space in between their shoes, but i can't imagine that that is less comfortable than sizing down 2 and pinching your toes...or maybe that's just me.
